Description: Battle of Kulikovo Field, fought on 8 September 1380, was the turning point in the history of Russia and one of the biggest battles in the medieval eastern Europe. Mongols of the Golden Horde met the armies of the Russian dukes united by the prince Dmitry of Moscow, later known as „Donsky”. Thanks to the better battle plan and cunning use of some forces hidden before the battle, Russians won, breaking the Mongol domination in Russia, although it took a little more time to finish it for good. Victory at Kulikovo was the beginning of the Moscow domination among other Russian countries. But could the Mongols win the battle to continue their rule in Russia? That’s the question the players might answer while playing this game.
