Description
German aggression towards France, Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg began in the Ardennes. On May 10, a huge mass of tanks and infantry rushed through the hilly terrain. Paratroopers also joined the campaign.
A quick maneuver was a total surprise for the Allies who recognized the Ardennes as an inaccessible area for mechanized troops.
